Queensland Housing Summit

The Queensland Housing Summit was held on Wednesday 20 October 2022, it was an opportunity for the Government to explore ways to address housing challenges and the current rental crisis. Rental Law Reform

On Wednesday 20 October 2021 the Parliament enacted the Housing Legislation Amendment Bill 2021. It amends the RTRA and changes some of the rules for renting in Queensland. The provisions concerning domestic and family violence will take effect immediately, while others such as minimum housing standards will commence in 2023 or later.
